In the year 2002 Julia, aL and Mike decided to found an independent hardcore/punk label. We did this adventure because of our own musical activities in BOUNZ THE BALL and common interests to help domestic artists and creative people with their ideas, plans and doings. In the year 2003 Steve joined our family…

Out from the heart of Austria these three souls became RISE OR RUST warriors! R.O.R. should be a foundation for bands, musicians and artists, which in the near future wants to become the link between art and distributions, other labels, audience and scene. Our work is somewhere between booking agency and an advertising company. This business should be part of the job of a label.

RISE OR RUST records stands for a platform for creative people.

We want to promote communication between culture and economics to support sub-cultural art!

This label is a publicly accessible community without personal financial profit, so we put our money back to subsequent projects to close the circle!

 

In 2006 Liz joined our team to support our second label compilation schubumkehrZWEI and our label company in the Vienna area. Mike stopped his activities in R.O.R.

 

From release Nr. 10 (ROR X) we try to walk the way between a professional company and the a D.I.Y ideology.
